Modern Dinner Party
You're hosting a dinner party? You love a mod look? Try green and white, stripes and dots, and a hit of marigold. We teamed up with Vané from Brooklyn Bride, Yena and Jee of Blush Designs NY, and paper + cup's Min to pull together the perfect Modern Dinner Party. Read on to find out how and what you'll need.
For an eclectic tabletop that still looks put together, combine various sizes of circular paper cutouts to create a table runner inspired by confetti. You can keep the palette clean with just green and white blooms, or add in pops of marigold for a warmer feel.
Place flower arrangments in simple vases like these white glass rounds; use the same bloom for each vase. We love adding some grass for an informal feel. For your invitations, create your own with circles and stripes in various sizes (or better yet, paper+cup design can hook you up!).
Give guests favors in plain kraft boxes, wrapped in colored twine and decorated with construction paper rounds in various sizes and colors (genius, Min and Vané!) And create placecards with striped circles, and handwrite your guests' names. Not a born calligrapher? Use block print!
Keep the table linen basic white so the color of your runner and plants pops. If you're splurging on lots of flowers, consider gifting them (with container) to your guests as favors. Or for a more budget-friendly option, consider grass with a cymbidium orchid in alternating containers.
Ok. We know you're ready to do this. Here's what you'll need!
