Turquoise + Gold

Today's feature:  a jaunt to New York's Upper East Side with bridal stylist Jackie of Merci New York. Take it away, Jackie!

I’ve long loved the pairing of turquoise and gold!  The bright blue shade is often reserved for beachside affairs, but saddled up to gilded gold hues, the results are positively chic {and event a hint mid-century modern}. To create a fashionable fete that oozes style {with a nod to 60s polish}, amp up current-day accessories, floral and décor with streamlined silhouettes, bold décor patterns {read: chevron it up!} and white as an alternative partner to either hue, so that the palette stays crisp and chic.

Brass Tiered Pendant Shade

Stylist’s tip: When tacking this theme on a budget, ask your decorator about adding big-impact, low cost items like these pendant lamps. Hung above a tented tablescape, the $65 cost is marginal compared to most floral arrangements!

Turquoise + Gold Tablescape

This tablescape blends color and polish perfectly. Pair a light blue chevron runner with turqoise china, gold accented crystal, and antique gold flatware, like this set from Design within Reach. The five-piece set comes packaged in an elegant red gift box and includes a dinner fork, salad fork, knife, teaspoon and soup spoon. Dishwasher safe. Made in Portugal. Image: Hello Pretty Things

Gold + Turquoise Earrings

Turquoise + Gold Wallpaper

Another stylist tip: A great way to add big impact, minus major cost, is to have your designer wallpaper plyboard panels around your party area to create a custom space that intimately pulls together your palette. Quite a simple DIY as well!
